I began thinking about skin care at a young age while watching, and mimicking, my Mother every morning cleanse, apply eye cream, moisturizer, and makeup. I remember her giving me beauty tips while I was still wearing pig-tails and playing in mud puddles. I have found myself continuing to practice those tips she so generously shared with me.
At the age of 23, I developed rosacea. Having been very frustrated with the persistent redness, I was prompted to seek out various products and treatments to help improve the appearance and texture of my skin. This frustration, desire to learn more about the skin, and what could be done to improve the effects of rosacea led me to seek out an education in esthetics and become a licensed esthetician.
I am so lucky to be able to share my knowledge of the body’s largest organ (yes, the skin is considered an organ) and how to take care of it. Being able to make a small difference in the way someone feels and possibly providing a boost for their self-esteem is what makes me continue to love coming to work every day. Also, I love providing a way for my clients to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life even for just a little while.
When I am not working, I enjoy working out, cooking, baking, and spending time with my family and dog.
